For nearly two decades, he has chosen a more intimate architectural practice, focusing on the restoration and adaptive reuse of distinctly urban spaces. "I am fascinated by the power this has in terms of global transformation — taking one piece of this urban puzzle and placing it back into context. Sometimes, it only takes a few thoughtful interventions for these pieces to acquire a truly revealing sense of meaning."
